Microsoft has introduced a major update to its Xbox Cloud Gaming service, allowing Game Pass Ultimate subscribers to stream select games they already own. Previously limited to titles available in the Game Pass catalog, this expansion now enables members to access their purchased games on supported devices.
Launched across all 28 countries where Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) is available, the service also includes 50 popular titles for streaming, such as Baldur’s Gate 3, Cyberpunk 2077, and Hogwarts Legacy.
Xbox Cloud Gaming Expands Its Features
Xbox Cloud Gaming, a benefit for Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, enables users to stream games directly to a variety of devices. Initially restricted to select Game Pass titles, the latest update introduces the option to stream eligible owned games even if they aren’t included in the Game Pass library.
Supported platforms include:
- Samsung Smart TVs
- Amazon Fire TV devices
- Meta Quest VR headsets
- Web browsers on PCs, smartphones, and tablets
Starting next year, this functionality will also roll out to Xbox consoles and the Xbox app for Windows.

All editions of supported games in your library will be streamable, ensuring seamless access across platforms.
How to Stream Owned Games on Xbox Cloud Gaming
Streaming your owned games via Xbox Cloud Gaming is straightforward. Here’s how:
On Web Browsers (PC, Phones, Tablets, or Handhelds)
- Visit xbox.com/play.
- Sign in using your Game Pass Ultimate account.
- Select ‘Stream your own game’ to access compatible titles from your library.
- Connect a supported controller to start playing.
Certain PC games also support mouse and keyboard input, providing a flexible gaming experience.
On Smart TVs
- Download and open the Xbox app.
- Sign in to your Game Pass Ultimate membership.
- Choose ‘Stream your own game’ and connect a supported controller.
On Meta Quest VR Headsets
- Download the Xbox Cloud Gaming app from the Meta store.
- Log in, select your desired game, and connect your controller to start playing in VR.
Game Pass Ultimate Subscription
In addition to the newly expanded streaming options, a Game Pass Ultimate subscription includes a variety of benefits:
- Access to a library of hundreds of games.
- Day-one access to new game launches.
- Online multiplayer functionality.
- EA Play membership.
- Xbox Cloud Gaming access (in supported regions).
The subscription is priced at Rs. 829.00 per month in India, but Xbox Cloud Gaming is not yet available in the region.
